Secondary DI
For Differential Instruction to provide a better learning environment, it must be a age appropriate setting as well. Other issues that may become problematic is the fact that not all students of that age are going to get along. The solution to this problem is to work with different groups until you find one that works. You may also need to have some way of developing a curriculum that is challenging for all, the main issue is that students at this level will be incredibly different from one student to the next. The goal is to find the happy medium that is still challenging to all students. |

Lesson Plan
When creating lesson plans for differential instruction, it is important to know what knowledge your students possess prior to the lesson you are teaching. This makes pre-assessments very important by providing the teacher with information that is needed to create a lesson that is both challenging and interesting for their students. This will allow the students to learn at a steady pace and gain understanding of content you are teaching.
